Tim Henry (CrossFit Level 2 Trainer) has been active in many different sports from the age of 4: gymnastics, baseball, taekwondo, soccer, skiing, wrestling, basketball, track & field, and rock climbing. In 2008, Tim started to experiment with exercise and has learned many lessons to this day (and is still learning!).

Being a "jack of all trades, master of none" gave Tim the general physical preparedness (GPP) base to serve as a combat engineer in the US Army for four years. During this time he discovered a love for coaching and mentoring people, whether in the weight room, at the track, the obstacle course, the demolitions range, on a field problem, or over a cup of coffee.

In 2021, Tim and his family moved to the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis, seeking to be neighbors with people from many different nations. That summer, Tim started doing one workout a week in Phillips' parks, which has evolved over time and has now become a community of everyday athletes, and a strength & conditioning coaching service.

Tim's years growing up in Uzbekistan (part of the former Soviet Union) taught him that you don't need all the right circumstances or best gear to develop some serious athletic capacity that'll serve you for life. Who you train with matters much more than what equipment you have.

More than a strength & conditioning program, UD-Fit is a community invested in holistic health and leadership development.
